

Here at the Cheney Care Center, we take your loved one's health seriously. Please review our current visitation policy prior to visiting.
Virtual visits can be scheduled by calling 509-235-6196 and asking for Activities.

We understand this is difficult for both residents and families and we sympathize and thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate this difficult time.

Visitation Policy: General Visitation Guidelines
​
All visitors must adhere to the Core Principles of COVID-19 infection prevention to include:

Answering screening questions upon check in
-
Washing hands, or using hand sanitizer, before and after visitation

Wearing a mask at all times, even during visit
-
Social distancing during visitation.

General visitation allows for 3 visitors per resident at one time.

Visits must be scheduled 24 hours in advance with Cheney Care Center Activities when possible.

Visits will be in the SSU Kitchen or Main Dining room. If resident is unable to visit there, in room visitation will be permitted with the following exception:

​If a resident has a roommate, the facility must call and obtain permission from the roommate to conduct in-room visitation prior to the visit.

To ensure all residents can have visitors and to allow for cleaning, visits in the SSU Kitchen and Main Dining room are limited to 2 hours.

Extensions of visit hours are subject visitation schedule and approval by Activities Director or Administrator.

Visitation upon admission to facility is permitted for fully vaccinated residents only.

Essential Support Visitation is available for residents in quarantine or isolation regardless of vaccination status.

Zoom Video calls are available at all times, to all residents.

Visitors must go directly to resident’s room or visitation location and wear a mask at all times for the duration of the visit.

If assistance is needed with the resident while visiting, the visitor must utilize the call light for nurse/aide assistance. Please refrain from walking about the facility, visiting at the nurses’ station, or entering other offices.

Failure to comply visitation guidelines or core principles of COVID-19 infection prevention are subject to suspension of visitation.
